Since it’s launch in 2001, industry experts and the market place have recognised sonix™ as an innovative product that will help shape the future of wastewater treatment.

In 2002 sonix™ scooped the Santa Ana River Basin Section (SARBS) award for Research Achievement, awarded by the California Water Environment Association. The award was presented to Atkins, co-developers of the sonix™ product, and Orange County Sanitation District (OCSD) following a joint programme of work which clearly highlighted the environmental and cost benefits of the technology.

The prestigious IWEX Innovation Award was presented to co-developers Enpure during the 2003 IWEX conference held in Birmingham, United Kingdom. In the face of tough competition sonix™ proved that its technological innovation was second to none; an exciting product for the wastewater sector and a compelling business proposition for Sonico.

In October 2004 Sonico attended Aquatech in Amsterdam; one of the largest water technology events in the World. Aquatech provided a high profile setting for sonix™ to reaffirm its position in the wastewater sector. Amidst tough competition, Sonico was proud to be nominated for an International Aquatech Innovation Award (IAIA).
